The health and safety of our staff and customers is our number one priority during the current novel coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.
While we have had no staff members, or community members, confirmed with cases of the virus, the health and wellbeing of our staff and community members is important to us. It is also vital that we consider the advice of the Federal and State Government and minimise the possible spread.

As part of City of Maribyrnong Council's planned response to reduce the chance of the virus spreading, we have temporarily closed RecWest Footscray and RecWest Braybrook. All of our regular programs including swimming lessons, gymnastics and group fitness will be suspended during the closure.
This will come into effect as of close of business today, effective until Thursday 16 April.

We will continue to work with City of Maribyrnong Council to ensure we are doing what is best for our community by monitoring the situation very closely and following the advice of the DHHS, so that we can reopen our facility as soon as is practical.
Your membership will automatically be placed on free suspension during the time that we are closed, so you won’t be charged.

We will remain contactable throughout the closure period should you have any questions. We will also ensure we provide updates as they become available. In the meantime, you can keep updated via the City of Maribyrnong website or Facebook page.

For more information and the latest on COVID-19, see the DHHS resources.

Please take care of yourselves and others. The sooner we can slow down and stop the spread of coronavirus, the sooner we can return to normality.

Kind regards,

Centre Management
